On 21 July 2026, NSFAS moved its separate 2026 TVET Trimester 3 window to 14–23 August and said the 2027 national-cycle dates would follow. It did not give a 2027 date.
Ignore pages claiming that the 2027 cycle definitely opens in September or closes on 31 January; those dates have not been confirmed by NSFAS.

The current official checklist includes identity documents, parent/guardian/spouse identity documents, proof of income where applicable, and specific declaration or disability forms where relevant.

- When will NSFAS applications open for 2027?
- NSFAS has not announced the opening or closing dates for the main 2027 application cycle. Its July 2026 notice said the 2027 national-cycle dates would be published soon. Do not rely on an estimated September opening or January closing date.
