For 2027 it offers three streams: a high school scholarship for Grade 8 learners, a STEM and Commerce scholarship, and a Chartered Accountancy scholarship.

Make A Difference (MAD) Leadership Foundation supports students in the following disciplines
Eligibility Requirements
- ✓ South African citizen
- ✓ High school stream: currently in Grade 8 in 2026 at a public high school in South Africa
- ✓ STEM/Commerce stream: in Grade 12 in 2026 or first year in 2026, with a 65% average
- ✓ Household income not exceeding R35,000 per month for the STEM/Commerce stream
- ✓ Active involvement in community service
- ✓ Ability to speak and understand basic English

SANRAL, the state-owned company that manages South Africa's national roads, runs two education funding programmes with the same application season. Its Scholarship Programme supports South African learners in Grades 8 to 12 at registered schools, irrespective of subject choices, paying for school and boarding fees, uniforms, books, school transport, maths and science extra lessons and access to a wellness programme. Its External Bursary funds students entering first-year university study in 2027 in Civil Engineering, Public Procurement / Supply Chain Management or Computer Science / Information Systems, plus NQF Level 8 postgraduates in property, town planning, finance and law fields. SIOC Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) (administered by Dux PD)
The SIOC Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT), established through Sishen Iron Ore Company (Kumba Iron Ore), offers a comprehensive bursary to young people who live in or come from its beneficiary communities: Gamagara, Ga-Segonyana, Joe Morolong and Tsantsabane in the Northern Cape and Thabazimbi in Limpopo. The bursary covers registration and tuition, accommodation, prescribed study material, a once-off laptop, a monthly stipend and assistive devices for students with disabilities, with priority fields in agriculture, health, education, law, tourism, business, engineering and IT. Applications for the 2027 academic year are open and close at midday on 30 November 2026; the selection process is run by Dux PD.
