The AWS Skills Development Bursary, administered by StudyTrust, offers capped full-cost bursaries for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Commerce and selected other fields at South African universities. Awards are based on merit and financial need, with priority for students with disabilities, learners from LEAP Science and Maths Schools and former AWS interns.

Eligibility Requirements
- ✓ South African citizen
- ✓ Strong academic and leadership potential
- ✓ Matric: at least 65% in Mathematics and 65% in English (HL or FAL); current Grade 12 learners need 65% or more in Mathematics and Physical Science
- ✓ Current university students: overall average consistently above 65%
- ✓ Full-time study at a selected South African university, first to final year (or eligible postgraduate study)
- ✓ Financial need (awards are based on merit and financial need)
- ✓ Priority for students with disabilities, LEAP Science and Maths Schools learners and former AWS interns

- South African citizens studying full-time (first to final year, or eligible postgraduate study) at selected South African universities in fields such as Computer Science, IT, Engineering, BCom Accounting and Finance, BEd Maths and Science or Medicine. You need at least 65% for Mathematics and English in matric and an average above 65% at university. Students with disabilities may study any programme.
